Embarking on a New Chapter: From Artist to Interior Designer
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about creating. My journey as a professional artist began in 2007, immersing myself in the world of mixed media painting, where I could explore layers, textures, and the interplay of colors. It was my way of bringing beauty and meaning to life through art. But alongside my love for painting, I’ve always harbored a deep appreciation for interior design.
Interior spaces have always spoken to me, in the same way as a blank canvas. Similarly to how I’ve started paintings in my head, I’ve spent countless hours imagining how rooms could transform with thoughtful touches—how the right layout, a striking piece of furniture, or carefully curated accents could breathe new life into a space.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working on several personal projects that allowed me to experiment and refine my eye for design. These projects became my playground, allowing me to explore ideas, styles, and techniques. Along the way, I also started helping friends, sourcing looks for their spaces and offering guidance on layouts. I’ve realized how much joy it brought me to see their homes evolve into spaces they truly loved.
Like any new challenge, taking the professional leap was intimidating, but this past year came a turning point where I recognized that design was not just a hobby anymore, buts a calling that could bring joy to others. I decided it was time to embrace my passion for interior design wholeheartedly. My goal became clear: to help people create cozy spaces that reflect their stories and personalities. Whether it’s a room refresh or a full-scale project from the ground up, I wanted to be there to bring their vision to life.
One of the most exciting aspects of collaborating with clients is helping to integrate new pieces into their existing spaces. I believe that our homes are living stories, filled with objects and furniture that carry memories and meaning. It’s not about starting over, but seamlessly weaving the old and new together. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective and a few thoughtful updates to make a space feel both cohesive and renewed.
My journey from artist to interior designer feels like a natural extension of my creative expression. Art and design are so deeply intertwined, both aiming to evoke emotion and create connection. As I step into this new chapter, I’m excited to continue transforming spaces into reflections of the people who inhabit them, layering them with color, texture, and personality—just as I do with my paintings.
If you’re looking for help with a room refresh, putting the finishing touches on your home, or embarking on a complete design project, I’d love to collaborate and bring your vision to life. Let’s create something beautiful together!
